- Rice 2 bowls
- Green onion (minced) 1/3 pieces
- Bacon 50g
- Beaten eggs 2 eggs
- Ginger slices of Ginger Pickled in Honey 20g
- Soy sauce 1 teaspoon
- Salt Pepper One pinch
- Cooking oil 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil One pinch
1Coarsely chop the Ginger Pickled in Honey ginger and bacon.
2Heat 1 tablespoon of salad oil in a frying pan and add the beaten eggs. Stirring gently, heat through and remove when semi-cooked.
3Heat 1 tablespoon of salad oil in the frying pan in (2). Add the bacon and Ginger Pickled in Honey ginger and stir-fry. When the oil is well incorporated, add the warmed rice and fry quickly until the moisture has evaporated while pressing down with a spatula.
4Add the eggs back into (3) and then add the green onions. Season with soy sauce, salt and pepper, and then drizzle with sesame oil to finish.
5The secret to making non-sticky fried rice is to use hot rice. If you use cold rice, be sure to heat it up in the microwave. Fried rice is a game of speed. Work quickly and finish before the temperature of the frying pan drops.
